Personal licence holders are required by the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 to complete refresher training every 5 years and Licensing Board members have to re-train every time they are re-elected. Many employers will do refresher training with their staff from time to time.
All new staff should receive induction training which covers premises’ policies and health & safety information, such as where the fire exits are, when they begin a new job.
In England and Wales training is not compuslory but it is highly recommended that training is completed and refreshed on a regular basis.

Your online training covers all of the information you require to sit the “Certificate for Staff Working in Scottish Licensed Premises” offered by City&Guilds, but you would need to sit the exam in a registered City & Guilds centre.

If you wish to upgrade your English & Wales course to certificate level please contact us for further information.
